GMKtec EVO-X1 Pro Mini PC Debuts With Ryzen AI 9 HX 470, 64GB RAM, WiFi 7, and OCulink eGPU Support

GMKtec is expanding its mini PC lineup with the new EVO-X1 Pro, a compact desktop built around AMD’s latest Zen 5 Refresh platform. Designed for users who want high-end performance in a small footprint, the EVO-X1 Pro combines a powerful Ryzen AI processor, large memory capacity, fast storage, modern wireless connectivity, and external GPU support through OCulink.

At the center of the GMKtec EVO-X1 Pro is the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 processor. This chip features 12 cores and 24 threads based on the Zen 5 architecture, with boost speeds reaching up to 5.2 GHz. That makes the mini PC suitable for demanding workloads such as content creation, multitasking, software development, productivity, media editing, and AI-focused applications.

One of the key highlights of the Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 is its AI performance. The processor delivers up to 86 TOPS overall, including 55 TOPS from its dedicated NPU. This gives the EVO-X1 Pro strong local AI capabilities, allowing users to run supported AI tools and workloads directly on the device without relying entirely on cloud processing.

For graphics, the EVO-X1 Pro uses Radeon 890M integrated graphics. This GPU is capable enough for everyday creative tasks, media playback, light gaming, and some graphics-heavy workloads without needing a dedicated graphics card. However, users who want more gaming or rendering power can take advantage of the built-in OCulink port, which allows the mini PC to connect to an external GPU.

The design of the EVO-X1 Pro closely resembles GMKtec’s earlier EVO-X1 AI model, but the Pro version improves the overall configuration options and connectivity. It also ships with GMKtec Claw, the company’s AI-focused software ecosystem designed to support local AI apps and a wide range of AI agents.

Connectivity is another strong point of the EVO-X1 Pro. The mini PC includes multiple USB Type-A ports across the front and rear I/O, a USB 4.0 port, an OCulink interface, and a 3.5mm audio jack for external speakers or headphones. Wireless connectivity has also been upgraded with WiFi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, while wired networking is handled by dual 2.5G LAN ports for fast and stable internet performance.

Unlike many mini PCs that start with lower memory configurations, the EVO-X1 Pro begins with 64GB of RAM. GMKtec is offering two storage options: 64GB RAM with 1TB storage and 64GB RAM with 2TB storage. This makes the system better suited for power users, professionals, and enthusiasts who need more headroom for multitasking, large files, virtual machines, or creative projects.

Pricing starts at $1,599 for the 64GB RAM and 1TB storage model. The higher-end version with 64GB RAM and 2TB storage is priced at $1,769. GMKtec is also offering a limited $20 discount until August 15.

With its Ryzen AI 9 HX 470 processor, strong AI performance, Radeon 890M graphics, OCulink support, WiFi 7, dual 2.5G LAN, and generous memory capacity, the GMKtec EVO-X1 Pro is positioned as a powerful mini PC for users who want desktop-class performance in a compact and efficient system.
