GIGABYTE Unveils GeForce RTX 5050 OC Low Profile GPU Featuring Innovative Triple Fan Cooling

GIGABYTE has introduced an innovative low-profile RTX 5050 graphics card that blends compact design with impressive cooling efficiency, perfect for small ITX cases.

The new GeForce RTX 5050 OC 8G boasts a sleek design, measuring a mere 182mm in length, while ingeniously integrating three fans. This makes it an exceptional choice for those seeking high performance in a minimal space without compromising on cooling capabilities.

Recently unveiled by NVIDIA, the RTX 5050 caters to both laptops and desktops, with the desktop version hitting the market next month. GIGABYTE, ahead of the curve, has already showcased its custom take on this entry-level yet power-efficient GPU. The standout feature of this card is its ability to deliver robust performance while maintaining a petite form factor.

Despite its compact size, the RTX 5050 OC Low Profile manages to include an extra fan compared to its predecessor, the RTX 3050 Low Profile. The dimensions remain minimal at 182mm x 69mm x 36mm, fitting seamlessly as a dual-slot card. It packs 8 GB of GDDR6 memory with speeds up to 20 Gbps, featuring a PCIe 5.0 interface.

While specific core clocks haven’t been disclosed, being part of the OC edition suggests a boost beyond the standard 2.57 GHz. It carries the same 130W TDP as the reference model, and both GIGABYTE and NVIDIA recommend a 550W power supply.

The cooling system is meticulously designed, featuring a custom heatsink enhanced with server-grade thermal gel on the GPU chip, seamlessly fused with a copper plate. This setup includes aluminum heatsinks and copper heat pipes to efficiently manage heat, ensuring optimal performance across the entire PCB.

Connectivity options are robust, offering dual HDMI 2.1b ports, one DP 1.4a, and one DP 2.1b. Priced attractively at an anticipated $249, the RTX 5050 OC Low Profile is set to captivate enthusiasts with its release in late July.
