In North America, NVIDIA GPUs generally lead the market, but in some parts of Europe, AMD is gaining significant ground. Recent data from Mindfactory, a major German retailer, reveals a strong preference for AMD’s Radeon RX 9000 series over NVIDIA’s RTX 50 series.
Despite NVIDIA’s price reductions bringing many RTX 50 models close to or even below MSRP, AMD’s RDNA 4 GPUs continue to outsell them. This trend is notable given NVIDIA’s advantages in areas like Ray Tracing performance and brand recognition, although improvements in AMD’s driver support have narrowed the gap.
At Mindfactory, the Radeon RX 9070 XT has emerged as a top seller, moving about 470 units last week. This surge in sales is largely linked to price drops. Following closely, the Radeon RX 9060 XT, available in 8 GB and 16 GB variants, saw the 16 GB model sell 215 units compared to just 40 for the 8 GB version. Interestingly, the latter even lagged behind the NVIDIA RTX 5060, which sold 45 units.
The NVIDIA RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5070 Ti are the current best performers in NVIDIA’s lineup, selling 145 and 125 units respectively. In contrast, the GeForce RTX 5070, a former top-seller on Amazon, only sold 55 units despite its reduced price range of 550-600 Euros, below the original MSRP of 649 Euros.
Overall, AMD controls about 65% of the GPU market share at Mindfactory with 950 units sold last week, compared to NVIDIA’s 35% and 510 units. Despite the lower average selling price of 574 Euros, AMD captured 58.13% of the revenue, while NVIDIA, with an average selling price of 770 Euros, accounted for 41.87% of revenue. This higher ASP for NVIDIA is influenced by premium models like the RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5090.
