Garmin CIRQA Smart Band Gets Major Software Version 3.20 Update
Garmin is rolling out a significant new software update for the CIRQA Smart Band, its first wearable under the CIRQA name. The latest release, Software Version 3.20, is now being distributed through Garmin Connect Mobile and Garmin Express, bringing the device into a new major software branch shortly after its launch.
The CIRQA Smart Band debuted in late July with a focus on simple, subscription-free health and fitness tracking. Unlike some competing fitness bands that require ongoing paid memberships for full functionality, Garmin’s smart band works without a subscription. It also offers up to 10 days of battery life, making it an appealing option for users who want reliable health tracking without frequent charging.
This new update follows Garmin’s previous stable release, Software Version 2.50, which replaced Version 2.32. That earlier update was described as improving the optical heart rate sensor, though Garmin did not provide detailed notes about the exact changes. With Software Version 3.20, the company appears to be moving the CIRQA Smart Band forward with a more substantial firmware revision.
Garmin has not yet shared a full changelog for Software Version 3.20, so the exact improvements remain unclear. However, major version jumps often point to broader refinements, performance improvements, bug fixes, or behind-the-scenes changes that improve stability and the overall user experience.
At the time of release, Garmin’s Software Version 3.20 update was expected to be available to at least 20% of CIRQA Smart Band users. As with many Garmin wearable updates, the rollout may happen in stages, so not every owner will see it immediately.
If the update has not appeared automatically on your device, you can check for it manually using Garmin Connect Mobile or Garmin Express. Keeping the CIRQA Smart Band updated is recommended, especially if Garmin has included improvements to tracking accuracy, connectivity, or system reliability.
The arrival of another software update so soon after launch suggests Garmin is actively supporting the CIRQA Smart Band and refining the experience for early buyers. Recent certification activity also hints that this may not be the only CIRQA-branded wearable Garmin has planned, potentially making the Smart Band the first product in a broader lineup.
