Garmin CIRQA Leak Points to a New Health-Focused Fitness Wristband Launching Soon
Garmin appears to be getting closer to launching a new fitness and health wristband called the Garmin CIRQA. Recent signs suggest the device is no longer just a rumor, as it briefly appeared on an official Garmin support page before being removed.
The short-lived listing indicated that Garmin CIRQA will support Garmin Health Status, a feature designed to monitor changes in the user’s overall wellness over time. While the listing disappeared quickly, its appearance strongly suggests that the wristband is already being prepared for release.
Garmin Health Status relies on several key health metrics, including heart rate, blood oxygen levels, skin temperature, heart rate variability, respiratory rate, and sleep patterns. Because of that, the CIRQA is expected to include a heart rate sensor, an SpO2 sensor, and a skin temperature sensor.
That could make Garmin CIRQA a strong competitor in the growing smart band and fitness tracker market. Many wrist-based health trackers still do not include this full sensor setup. For example, the Polar Loop does not offer SpO2 or skin temperature monitoring, while the Fitbit Air includes both.
Earlier leaks also claimed that Garmin CIRQA may feature an EDA sensor, which could help improve stress tracking by measuring changes related to the body’s response to stress. If accurate, this would give Garmin’s upcoming wristband a more advanced wellness-tracking profile than many entry-level fitness bands.
However, the CIRQA may not include built-in GPS. That means users would likely need to carry a smartphone during outdoor runs, walks, or bike rides if they want accurate distance and route tracking. This would position the device more as a lightweight health and wellness band rather than a full sports watch replacement.
Garmin has not yet confirmed the official launch date, pricing, or full specifications of the CIRQA. Still, the recent trademark activity in Europe and Canada, combined with the support page appearance, suggests the announcement may not be far away.
If Garmin prices the CIRQA competitively, it could appeal to users who want advanced health insights without buying a larger smartwatch. With expected features like SpO2 tracking, skin temperature monitoring, stress analysis, sleep tracking, and Garmin Health Status, the CIRQA could become an interesting new option in the fitness wristband category.
