Gardena has just unveiled the Smart Sileno Free, an innovative robotic lawn mower set to hit the European market in 2025. This launch marks a significant milestone for the brand, as the Smart Sileno Free will be their first model that does not require a boundary wire. Instead, it uses advanced satellite navigation with LONA technology to precisely map your lawn.
Three versions are planned to accommodate different lawn sizes: 600 m² (about 6,458 ft²), 800 m² (around 8,611 ft²), and 1,200 m² (approximately 12,917 ft²). Each version is equipped with a range of smart features to provide an optimal mowing experience. The Trim-to-Edge feature uses three blades at the rear to efficiently mow areas close to fences or walls, while the CorridorCut capability allows the mower to handle narrow spaces with ease.
The Smart Sileno Free is built for all-weather performance, featuring a frost sensor that will delay mowing if necessary to prevent damage. Security is also a priority, with the option for a PIN-coded lock to protect against theft. Additionally, the cutting height is adjustable between 25 mm and 45 mm (1 to 1.8 inches), and the mower can manage gradients of up to 30%.
All these features can be controlled remotely via the Gardena app, allowing you to manage your lawn care from anywhere. You’ll also receive real-time updates on the mower’s status and performance directly on your mobile device.
Prices for the Gardena Smart Sileno Free will vary according to the model: €1,499.99 for the 600 m² version, €1,799.99 for the 800 m² version, and €1,999.99 for the 1,200 m² version. While the exact release date in 2025 is yet to be announced, this innovative mower is already generating excitement among tech enthusiasts and lawn care aficionados alike.
