GameSir appears to be getting ready to expand its X5 Lite mobile controller lineup with a new Fortnite-themed edition, giving mobile gamers a fresh set of designs inspired by some of the battle royale’s most recognizable characters and in-game icons.
Recent retail listings have revealed multiple versions of the GameSir X5 Lite for Xbox with Fortnite styling, including designs based on Durr Burger, Black Knight, and Jonesy. If released, these models would join the controller’s standard black and white options, as well as the green Xbox 25th Anniversary Edition.
The Fortnite editions look like more than simple color swaps. The Black Knight version features a dark translucent body paired with red thumbsticks and red ABXY buttons, giving it a bold look that matches the popular Fortnite skin. The grips also include themed artwork to complete the design.
The Durr Burger version takes a brighter and more playful approach. It appears with a teal-colored body, orange buttons and sticks, and artwork inspired by Fortnite’s famous burger mascot. These details make the controller stand out while still keeping the same overall shape and layout as the regular X5 Lite for Xbox.
Like the standard model, the Fortnite-themed GameSir X5 Lite keeps the Xbox button on the right grip and uses a telescopic design that allows users to attach a smartphone or compact tablet. Listing images suggest the controller will support devices up to 213 mm in length, making it suitable for a wide range of modern phones and smaller tablets.
The X5 Lite for Xbox includes several upgrades over the original X5 Lite. It features MFi certification, making it compatible with Apple devices, and comes with physically swappable ABXY buttons. This should make it easier for players to switch between Xbox-style and other button layouts depending on their preferred platform or game.
The controller also includes Hall effect thumbsticks, which are designed to reduce the risk of stick drift over time. Analog triggers are included as well, offering better control in racing games, shooters, and cloud gaming titles. A movable USB-C connector helps improve device compatibility, while pass-through charging allows players to keep their phone powered during longer gaming sessions.
GameSir has not officially announced the Fortnite edition yet, but the appearance of these listings suggests that a reveal may not be far away. The regular GameSir X5 Lite for Xbox is expected to begin shipping in October, so the Fortnite-themed versions could arrive around the same time or shortly afterward.
For fans of Fortnite, Xbox cloud gaming, and mobile controllers, the upcoming GameSir X5 Lite Fortnite edition could be an appealing option. It combines the familiar features of the X5 Lite with eye-catching designs based on one of the world’s biggest games, making it a potentially strong choice for players who want both performance and personality in a mobile gaming controller.
