Galaxy A27 Spotted on Geekbench: Samsung’s Next Budget-Friendly Phone Takes Shape

Samsung’s budget Galaxy A-series could soon be getting a new addition. After the Galaxy A26 launched in March 2025, what appears to be its successor has now surfaced on Geekbench, offering an early peek at expected performance and a few key specs.

The device appears under the model number SM-A276B, which is widely believed to correspond to the Samsung Galaxy A27. According to the benchmark entry, the phone is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset paired with 6GB of RAM. Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 is a 4nm octa-core processor that includes an Adreno 710 GPU and built-in 5G support, positioning it squarely in the affordable 5G smartphone category.

As for the early performance numbers, the listing shows a single-core score of 777 and a multi-core score of 1,802. On paper, these results come in below the Galaxy A26, which used Samsung’s Exynos 1380 and posted higher scores in the same tests. That said, benchmark leaks like this often reflect pre-release software, unfinished firmware, or early tuning. It’s common for performance to improve closer to launch as Samsung and Qualcomm optimize drivers, scheduling, power profiles, and thermal behavior.

The Geekbench data also indicates the Galaxy A27 is running Android 16, suggesting Samsung may ship the device with the newest Android version out of the box, depending on its final release window. Separately, an earlier leak points to a 5,000mAh battery, which would be in line with what buyers expect from a modern budget Samsung phone—strong all-day battery life paired with efficient mid-range silicon.

For now, there’s no confirmed release date, pricing, or full spec sheet for the Galaxy A27. Still, this benchmark appearance is often a sign that a launch is getting closer. In other related Galaxy A-series updates, Samsung has also recently introduced the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57 in its mid-range lineup, reinforcing the company’s steady push across the affordable and mid-tier smartphone market.
