Samsung Galaxy A27 5G appears early with Snapdragon chip, 120Hz AMOLED display, and six years of updates
Samsung has not officially introduced the Galaxy A27 5G yet, but the phone has already surfaced through an early product listing in the Czech Republic. The listing reveals nearly all key specifications, giving a clear look at what Samsung is preparing for its next mid-range 5G smartphone.
The Galaxy A27 5G brings several notable changes compared with the Galaxy A26. One of the biggest upgrades is on the front. Samsung has replaced the older U-shaped notch with a cleaner centered punch-hole camera cutout, giving the device a more modern look. The phone still features a large 6.7-inch display, but it now uses a Full HD+ Super AMOLED panel with a 1080 x 2340 resolution, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection.
Performance is also changing this year. Instead of the Exynos 1380 used in the previous model, the Galaxy A27 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 processor. This should make the phone more appealing to users looking for a capable everyday Android phone with efficient 5G performance. The listed model includes 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage, while a 256GB version is also expected. Earlier information suggests Samsung may offer an 8GB RAM option as well.
For photography, the Galaxy A27 5G comes with a triple rear camera setup. It includes a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 aperture, a 5MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, there is a 12MP selfie camera. Compared with the Galaxy A26, the main camera remains similar, but the ultrawide and selfie cameras appear to have been adjusted.
The phone will run One UI 8.5 out of the box and is expected to receive six years of operating system and security updates. That long software support could become one of the Galaxy A27 5G’s strongest selling points, especially for buyers who want a phone that stays updated for years.
Samsung is also adding support for Quick Share with iOS devices, making file sharing easier between Galaxy phones and Apple products. Other features include dual SIM support through a hybrid SIM tray, Bluetooth 5.1, and dual-band Wi-Fi.
One surprising change is the water and dust resistance rating. The Galaxy A27 5G is listed with an IP64 rating, which is lower than the IP67 rating found on the Galaxy A26. This means the newer model may offer less protection against water exposure than its predecessor, which could matter to users who prioritize durability.
Battery life should remain strong thanks to a 5,000mAh battery. The Galaxy A27 5G supports 25W wired fast charging, with Samsung claiming it can reach up to 45 percent charge in around 30 minutes.
The Galaxy A27 5G is expected to launch in four color options: Black, Blue, Light Green, and Light Pink. Official pricing and availability have not been confirmed, but early information suggests the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage version may cost around €349, while a higher-end 8GB RAM model could be priced around €439.
With a refreshed design, Snapdragon processor, 120Hz AMOLED display, long-term software support, and a large battery, the Samsung Galaxy A27 5G is shaping up to be a strong mid-range Android phone for 2026. However, the lower IP rating may be a point of concern for buyers comparing it with last year’s model.
