In the world of high-performance graphics cards, the race for supremacy has reached a new pinnacle. The GALAX GeForce RTX 5090D “Hall of Fame” edition is making headlines after an exhilarating overclocking session that took its capabilities beyond the expected limits, setting a new world record in the process.
Recently, a Chinese overclocker known as Micka pushed the RTX 5090D to an astonishing 3.27 GHz during a GALAX-organized competition. This feat underscores the superior engineering of the “China-specific” GeForce RTX 5090D. The card’s impressive power is partly due to its advanced design, which includes 36 VRM phases (with specific roles for VRAM and MSVDD) and dual 16-pin power connectors capable of supporting up to 1200W.
GALAX, known for its dedication to the enthusiast segment, continues to foster a vibrant overclocking culture through regular competitions. Their latest creation from the “OC Lab” – a specialized variant of the HOF model – not only set a new benchmark in the 3DMark Speed Way, with a remarkable score of 17,169 points, but its overall GPU frequency reached a peak of 3277 MHz.
On the very same stage, the Greek overclockers known as OGS shattered records too, with extraordinary performances in benchmark tests such as 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme, scoring 59,072 points, and Unigine Superposition at 8K, recording 25,040 points.
These achievements have GALAX celebrating on their social media platforms, highlighting their commitment to pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in GPU technology. However, for those excited to get their hands on such hardware, the GALAX HOF OC Lab GeForce RTX 5090D is not slated for retail due to the expertise required for safe operation at these extreme levels, maintaining its status as a coveted piece in the enthusiast community.
