The DLSS Swapper tool has just received significant updates in its latest versions, 1.1 and 1.1.1, now allowing users to swap in FSR 3.1, XeSS, and XeSS Frame Generation DLL files. This new feature is part of a broader upgrade that opens up more possibilities for gamers to enhance their gaming experience.
For those unfamiliar, DLSS Swapper is an open-source application created by a developer known as ‘beeradmoore’. Its primary function is to let users update the DLSS DLL files within their games. While typically, NVIDIA’s own app manages these updates, DLSS Swapper presents an alternative, enabling gamers to manually select which version they want to use, depending on the game’s compatibility with DLSS technology. Importantly, the tools and updates are sourced directly from NVIDIA’s official repositories, ensuring authenticity and reliability.
With the recent 1.1 release, DLSS Swapper has expanded its capabilities to support AMD’s FSR 3.1 and Intel’s XeSS technologies. This means gamers can now easily update these additional upscaling technologies through the software. However, note that this functionality will only be active if the game itself supports these specific methods of upscaling.
In addition to these headline features, version 1.1 integrates XeSS Frame Generation and adds more options for adding games not located in standard installation paths. It also supports DLC file swapping for DLSS Frame Generation and Ray Reconstruction. Customization options have been expanded too, allowing users to change game cover art and add personal notes, along with various bug fixes.
The subsequent 1.1.1 update further polishes the tool with nine important fixes that address irritating issues with game launches and the user interface. The developer is actively addressing additional concerns, like duplicate game listings and problems with the software not recognizing DLLs in manually added games.
Overall, DLSS Swapper has emerged as a versatile tool for gamers, making it easier than ever to explore different game enhancements. Particularly with the integration of upscaling technologies from NVIDIA’s competitors, this tool becomes even more useful for experimenting with various game settings and updates. The newest version of the DLSS Swapper, 1.1.1, is readily available for download on Github.
