Fiio has introduced the Snowsky Disc, a compact digital audio player built for listeners who want high-resolution sound in a tiny, pocket-friendly design. Aimed at music fans with balanced headphones and sizable libraries, this petite player runs a custom Linux-based system and supports microSD storage up to 2 TB, making it easy to carry a massive collection without relying on a phone.
Despite its small footprint, the Snowsky Disc is designed to cover both wired and wireless listening. It includes a 3.5 mm unbalanced headphone jack and a 4.4 mm balanced output for compatible headphones, plus Bluetooth for wireless headphones and speakers. For playback, it supports hi-res formats including Hi-Res Audio, DSD128, and up to 32-bit/768 kHz PCM, catering to audiophiles who care about detailed, high-fidelity files.
Fiio also highlights strong audio performance from the wired outputs, with a signal-to-noise ratio above 129 dB and total harmonic distortion below 0.0003%, specs that should appeal to listeners looking for clean output and low noise with sensitive in-ear monitors or high-end over-ear headphones.
Connectivity is another focus. Over USB-C, the Snowsky Disc can function as an external sound card when connected to a computer, and it can also be paired with external DACs and headphone amplifiers.
