RATATAN

Exciting New Gameplay Trailer Released for RATATAN

Exciting news for gaming enthusiasts as Publisher Game Source Entertainment, alongside co-developers TVT and Ratata Arts, unveils fresh gameplay footage from their latest creation, RATATAN. This game, touted as a spiritual successor to the beloved Patapon series, promises a unique blend of rhythm and action that’s sure to captivate players.

RATATAN combines the thrill of side-scrolling action with the excitement of rhythm-based gameplay, supporting up to four players for online co-op adventures. Players will lead the charming Cobuns into battle, orchestrating their movements through pulsating beats and infectious melodies. It’s an exhilarating journey where music and action merge in a dynamic gaming experience.

The game is a Rhythmic Roguelike Action Game born from the creative genius of Hiroyuki Kotani, the mind behind the iconic PATAPON series, and developed by Tokyo Virtual Theory (TVT). In this musical battlefield, players assume the role of Ratatan, wielding magical instruments to issue commands to their Cobun armies. These commands guide everything from attacking foes to defending against oncoming threats.

RATATAN offers a variety of rhythmic sequences for both offense and defense, while also allowing Ratatan characters to move freely, each showcasing unique skills that add depth to the gameplay. Mastering these sequences allows players to enter a “fever mode,” where music dynamically evolves, and characters display impressive actions in sync with the beat.

Incorporating Roguelike elements, each venture into RATATAN’s world promises a fresh experience. Players and their Cobun companions will encounter random power-ups and rewards, ensuring no two adventures are the same. These power-ups diversify gameplay, offering countless strategic possibilities and keeping the excitement alive.

The game boasts stunning graphics and characters brought to life by illustrator Nelnal, offering a visual feast with enriched graphics and a plethora of new content. RATATAN has integrated a new system along with mini-games designed for multiplayer enjoyment, all powered by TVT’s impressive “Theory Engine” that delivers a smooth and stable online multiplayer experience.

Gamers can look forward to embarking on this musical odyssey when RATATAN launches in 2025. It’s set to be available across various platforms, including PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. Get ready to groove to the beat and lead the Cobuns to victory in this beautifully crafted game.
