Eufy has begun expanding its smart home lineup in Europe with the release of the Eufy E20 Motion Sensor, now available in at least one European market. After launching in places like the US in 2025, the compact sensor is arriving for shoppers who want a simple way to automate lights, alarms, cameras, and other compatible smart devices based on motion.
Built for indoor or outdoor use, the Eufy E20 Motion Sensor offers a 90° field of view and is designed to perform best when mounted between 1.8 and 2.3 meters (about 6 to 7.5 feet) high. From that position, it can detect motion at distances up to 8 meters (around 26 feet), making it suitable for entryways, garages, patios, corridors, and similar areas where you want reliable motion-triggered automation.
One feature aimed at improving everyday accuracy is its ability to recognize animals up to 36 kg (roughly 80 lbs). In practical terms, that should help reduce unwanted alerts compared to basic motion sensors that can be triggered too easily by pets or wildlife.
To use the E20, you’ll need a compatible Eufy HomeBase hub. Supported options include models such as the HomeBase Mini and HomeBase 3. With a HomeBase connected, you can manage the sensor remotely in the Eufy app, adjust settings, and receive motion detection notifications wherever you are.
Placement flexibility is another highlight. Eufy lists an outdoor connection range of up to 200 meters (about 656 feet), which can make it easier to position the sensor farther from the hub in larger homes or around outdoor areas. Installation is also intended to be straightforward, with mounting options for either a wall or a corner.
Power comes from a replaceable CR123A battery (1,400 mAh). Eufy estimates up to five years of battery life, which could make it a low-maintenance option for long-term smart home monitoring and automation.
Pricing and availability: the Eufy E20 Motion Sensor is now available in Germany through Amazon for €39.99. For now, Eufy hasn’t confirmed when wider availability across Europe will follow, but this launch suggests a broader rollout may be on the way.
