Epson has introduced a new way to turn everyday gatherings into big-screen moments with its Projection Studio app, built specifically for Epson home theater projector owners. Available now for both iOS and Android, the app is designed to make sharing photos at events fast, interactive, and easy to manage from a phone.
The idea is simple: whether it’s a birthday party, wedding reception, family reunion, or any social get-together, guests can contribute photos in real time while the host controls what appears on the projected display. Instead of passing phones around or waiting until after the event to swap pictures, everyone can take part as the slideshow happens live.
From the host’s perspective, Epson’s Projection Studio app is made for hands-on control. The organizer can choose which photos get shown, set the order, and shape the overall vibe by adding background music or selecting a frame that matches the occasion. Playback controls like play, pause, skip, and back are included, so the slideshow can be adjusted instantly without walking over to the projector.
Guests can do more than just submit images. The app also supports interactive touches, letting attendees add emoji reactions or comment bubbles to photos, helping the projected stream feel more like a shared social experience rather than a static slideshow.
When the event is over, a highlight reel can be created and shared with friends and family, offering a quick way to recap the best moments without sorting through dozens (or hundreds) of separate photos.
Epson says the Projection Studio app is expected to officially launch in May 2026, which may hint at a broader rollout or additional features. Even so, it’s already live in several major regions, including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany. Compatibility is expected across Epson’s Lifestudio projector lineup, including models such as the Flex Plus (EF-72).
