These exciting additions aim to enhance the capabilities of the Raspberry Pi 5, among other SBC models in the lineup.
Retailing at $69.99 for the 4GB version on Amazon, the Raspberry Pi 5 is currently the most advanced offering from the Foundation. While fans are eagerly awaiting even more powerful models, these newly introduced accessories bring fresh functionality to existing versions.
One such accessory is the Raspberry Pi SSD Kit, featuring an integrated M.2 2230 SSD and a HAT, which can also be bought independently from select retailers. The kit is available with either a 256 GB or 512 GB drive, priced at approximately $40 and $55, respectively. These drives deliver impressive read and write speeds, offering up to 70k IOPS for 4kB random writes.
In addition, the Raspberry Pi USB Hub is now available for just $14.25 in the US. This budget-friendly gadget includes four USB Type-A ports all adhering to the USB 3.0 standard, enabling up to 5 Gbps peak transfer speeds per port. For added convenience, it accommodates an optional USB Type-C power input, supporting 5V at 3A.
