Discover the New Xiaomi TV Stick 4K (2nd Gen) – Available Worldwide for Around $45

The Xiaomi TV Stick 4K (2nd Gen) recently made a quiet debut, sharing much of its hardware with the Box S (3rd Gen). Both devices are built around a 6nm quad-core CPU, and they employ the same ARM G310 V2 GPU, suggesting they’re likely powered by the Amlogic S905X5M chipset. This chipset is known for its strong performance, as demonstrated on Walmart’s Onn 4K Plus, which has outperformed rivals such as the Onn 4K Pro, Google TV Streamer 4K, and Fire TV Stick 4K Max 2.

The TV Stick 4K (2nd Gen) comes with 2 GB of RAM, mirroring the Box S (3rd Gen), yet it falls short in storage with only 8 GB compared to the Box’s 32 GB. Other features include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, and support for Dolby Vision, HDR 10+, Dolby Atmos, and DTS-X. However, Xiaomi hasn’t included a Type-C port, opting instead for a Micro USB port.

Currently, the TV Stick 4K (2nd Gen) isn’t available on official storefronts but can be purchased on Aliexpress for $45.64. Meanwhile, the Box S (3rd Gen) is priced at $52.99 on the same platform. Given its enhanced storage and connectivity options, the Box S (3rd Gen) may represent a more capable choice. Additionally, since it’s officially released, it’s less likely to encounter any issues with malware.
