Colorful Pushes CXMT DDR5 Memory to 8800 MT/s on AMD X870E Platform

CXMT DDR5 memory continues to gain momentum, and the latest overclocking result shows just how quickly these modules are improving. Colorful has pushed its iGame Shadow II 32 GB DDR5 memory kit to an impressive 8800 MT/s on an AMD X870E motherboard, bringing CXMT-based memory closer to the 9000 MT/s milestone.

The achievement was recorded using Colorful’s iGame X870E Vulcan W OC motherboard with a 2 x 16 GB DDR5 configuration. Just a few weeks earlier, the same memory series had reached 8600 MT/s, making this latest result a 200 MT/s improvement in a short period of time. That jump is especially notable because pushing a dual-stick 16 GB setup to higher speeds can be more challenging than overclocking single-module configurations.

Colorful also confirmed that 8800 MT/s was reached with a 2 x 24 GB DDR5 kit, and both memory configurations were reportedly stable during testing. This suggests that CXMT DDR5 chips are not only improving in raw speed but are also becoming more reliable for high-frequency use on mainstream desktop platforms.
