The food-themed roguelike action game, Cuisineer, developed by BattleBrew Productions and brought by co-publishers XSEED Games and Marvelous Europe, is set to expand to console platforms. The game will be released on Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 5 on January 28, 2025.
A physical edition will be available through the Marvelous USA store. This edition includes the game, a soundtrack with over 40 songs, a 160+ page art book, and a unique “face” towel inspired by boba tea, all bundled together.
Cuisineer has been accessible to Windows PC users via Steam since November 2023. The game centers around Pom, an adventurer who returns to her hometown of Paell after receiving a worrisome letter from her parents. Upon arrival, she discovers her parents are missing, and their restaurant is in disrepair. Pom takes on the challenge to revitalize the restaurant, using her skills and boba tea to source ingredients from hazardous dungeons and serve her loyal customers.
The game features a variety of key elements:
– Dungeons in diverse biomes like lush forests, fiery volcanoes, icy caves, and treacherous swamps, each procedurally generated to offer a unique experience every time.
– Combat mechanics based on different flavors: Salty, Sour, Sweet, Bitter, Umami, Frosty, and Toasty, each providing unique fighting abilities with specialized utensils and gourmet gear.
– Over 100 recipes and a wide array of ingredients to create dishes that satisfy customer demands, as well as the ability to customize the dining hall.
– Quest items found while dungeon diving that fulfill the needs of Paell’s residents, rewarding Pom with gold, new items, and additional recipes to enhance both her culinary and adventuring skills.
Cuisineer promises a blend of action, strategy, and culinary creativity for players as they help Pom revive her family’s restaurant.
