Colorful Unveils EVOL P15: Its First RTX 50-Series Gaming Laptops Featuring RTX 5050 and RTX 5060

Colorful is stepping deeper into the affordable gaming laptop market with the launch of two new EVOL P15 models, each built around NVIDIA’s budget-friendly GeForce RTX 50-series laptop GPUs. Aimed at gamers and creators who want strong performance without paying premium prices, these new laptops combine last-gen Intel processors with modern RTX graphics to deliver a solid value-focused mix.

The new Colorful EVOL P15 lineup arrives in two configurations: one pairing the GeForce RTX 5060 with an Intel Core i7-14650HX, and another combining the GeForce RTX 5050 with an Intel Core i5-13420H. This release also marks Colorful’s first move into RTX 50-series GPUs for its gaming laptops, expanding a lineup that has typically targeted budget buyers with more entry-level and midrange options.

The higher-end EVOL P15 is positioned as Colorful’s most powerful gaming laptop so far. It uses the Core i7-14650HX, a high-performance Raptor Lake Refresh chip with a 16-core, 24-thread configuration. That extra CPU headroom should be especially useful for players who stream, multitask, or run CPU-heavy workloads alongside gaming, such as rendering and other professional applications.

For buyers looking to spend less while still getting capable gaming performance, the second EVOL P15 model focuses on balance. It features the GeForce RTX 5050 paired with the 8-core, 12-thread Intel Core i5-13420H from the Raptor Lake family. This setup is designed to cover everyday productivity smoothly while still delivering enjoyable gaming performance in a more budget-conscious package.

While the two laptops look similar overall, the display is one of the clearest differences. The RTX 5060 version comes with a 15.6-inch IPS panel at 2560×1440 (1440p) resolution and a faster 165Hz refresh rate, making it the better pick for sharper visuals and smoother gameplay. The RTX 5050 model keeps the same 15.6-inch IPS size but drops to 1920×1080 (1080p) with a 144Hz refresh rate, which should still be a comfortable experience for competitive and fast-paced titles at a lower cost.

Battery capacity is the same across both models, with a 53.35Wh battery included. However, the RTX 5060 configuration is said to ship with a higher-power adapter, which makes sense given the more demanding CPU and GPU combination.

Both EVOL P15 laptops include 512GB of NVMe Gen 3.0 SSD storage and leave room for expansion thanks to an additional M.2 slot. Memory is set at 16GB of DDR5 running at 5200 MT/s, and there’s an extra SO-DIMM slot available for users who want to upgrade RAM later.

Pricing hasn’t been officially revealed yet, but expectations are that both models will land under the $1,000 mark—right in line with the growing wave of sub-$1,000 gaming laptops featuring RTX 5050 and RTX 5060 graphics. For shoppers comparing affordable RTX 50-series gaming laptops, the EVOL P15 options look positioned to compete by offering upgrade-friendly internals and two distinct performance tiers depending on whether you prioritize higher CPU power and a sharper, faster display, or a more budget-focused setup that still covers both gaming and productivity.
