Cleer Audio has just introduced a lineup of six Arc 3 open-ear wireless earphone models, which feature a sleek, waterproof ear-clip design. Designed for a variety of activities such as casual listening, gaming, sports, or even heart monitoring, each of these models is IPX7-rated, meaning they can withstand immersion in water up to one meter deep for 30 minutes.
The Arc 3 earphones incorporate powerful 16.2 mm drivers paired with a Qualcomm QCC5181 chipset, supporting a range of high-resolution audio codecs including aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, Dolby Atmos, Hi-Res Audio, LDAC, and Snapdragon Sound via multi-point Bluetooth 5.4 connections. This ensures versatile audio playback options across both high-resolution and standard codecs like SBC and AAC. Dolby Atmos support, in particular, allows for an immersive 360° audio experience when watching movies.
These earphones facilitate up to 24-bit 96 kHz lossy streams over aptX Adaptive, aptX Lossless, and LDAC connections, and 16-bit 44.1 kHz lossless streams over aptX Lossless. Cleer’s Dynamic Bass Enhancement (DBE) 3.0 technology automatically adjusts bass levels to complement the open-ear design. Additionally, noise- and wind-cancelling microphones, along with adaptive volume adjustment, ensure clear calls even in challenging environments.
A standout feature of the Arc 3 is touchless operation through head tilts for actions such as skipping songs. Traditional touch controls are also available. Each earphone model comes with specialized features for different user needs. The Music Pro and Max models offer AI-enhanced active noise cancellation (ANC), while the Sport Pro model includes AI motion analysis for personalized training recommendations. For fitness enthusiasts, the Sport Pro and Max models come equipped with heart rate and blood oxygen concentration monitors. Gamers will appreciate the lower latency (29 ms) provided by the USB dongle included with the Gaming and Max models. Additionally, the Sport models have special equalization presets for athletic activities, while the Gaming model is fine-tuned for an optimal gaming audio experience.
The charging case for the Arc 3 earphones includes an LCD touchscreen with a clock display and has the capability to fully recharge the earphones four times. Runtime varies by model, with the Gaming, Music, and Sport models offering up to ten hours, Pro models up to eight hours, and the Max model up to four hours per charge. The case also supports wireless recharging of its internal battery. Users can adjust Dolby Atmos settings, select equalization presets, locate lost earphones, and more through the touchscreen interface. Additionally, the earphones are sterilized using UV light when stored inside the case.
