Citizen has expanded its Terra Force lineup in the United States with two fresh releases designed for everyday durability and easy legibility. The new Terra Force AW1890-19B and AW1890-51X are positioned as purpose-built watches with clear field watch inspiration, combining rugged details with clean, practical styling.
Both models share the same core design language. You’ll find prominent Arabic numeral hour markers, an outer minute ring for quick time checks, and a grippy knurled crown that fits the tool-watch vibe. Citizen also leans into texture on the dials, giving the watches a more tactile, outdoors-ready character rather than a flat, glossy look.
The AW1890-19B comes with a textured white dial accented with gray tones, delivering a bright, high-contrast appearance that’s easy to read at a glance. In contrast, the AW1890-51X opts for a textured green dial with white indexes, offering a more classic field-inspired colorway. Both are housed in silver-tone stainless steel cases measuring 41.2 mm (about 1.62 inches) across, a versatile size that suits most wrists without feeling oversized.
Where the two start to feel more distinct is on the wrist. The AW1890-51X is paired with a matching stainless steel bracelet for a more uniform, all-metal look. The AW1890-19B, meanwhile, comes on a dark brown leather strap, adding a traditional, outdoorsy touch that pairs well with the light dial.
Inside, both Terra Force models run on Citizen’s Eco-Drive J810 movement. That means they’re powered by light from virtually any source, helping owners avoid routine battery replacements. The dial layout sticks to the essentials with three analog hands, and the hour and minute hands include luminous sections for improved visibility in low light. For daily practicality, there’s also a simple date window positioned at 6 o’clock.
Citizen builds these watches with toughness in mind. Each model includes a protective mineral crystal, impact resistance, and 100 meters (about 333 feet) of water resistance—specs that make them well-suited for daily wear, travel, and casual outdoor use.
Pricing is straightforward: the Citizen Terra Force AW1890-19B and AW1890-51X are available now in the brand’s US online store for $350 each. Delivery estimates point to early February, and Citizen is offering free shipping to customers.
