Citizen has quietly rolled out a fresh set of premium chronographs in Europe, and the new CA4750 series looks designed for buyers who want everyday toughness without giving up a clean, modern style. Built around a 40 mm case made from Citizen’s Super Titanium, these watches aim to deliver a higher-spec experience than you might expect at this level, with an estimated European price of around €399 based on similar models in the lineup.
One of the biggest talking points is the material choice. Titanium watches at entry pricing can sometimes feel like a compromise, but Citizen leans on its Super Titanium treatment to make the case notably more scratch resistant than the stainless steel you typically see in this bracket. For anyone shopping for a daily-wear chronograph that can handle regular knocks, that added durability is a practical upgrade rather than a marketing gimmick.
The CA4750 series also addresses a common complaint among value-focused watches: crystal quality. Instead of standard mineral glass, Citizen fits anti-reflective sapphire crystal here, improving legibility while adding serious scratch resistance. If mineral glass has been a dealbreaker for you in the past, this launch is likely to catch your attention.
Visually, the CA4750 models separate themselves from simpler siblings with a more characterful dial. A vertical texture runs through the center, giving the watch a rugged, field-adjacent vibe that feels a bit more purposeful than a typical dressy chronograph. The collection arrives in several dial colors—champagne, blue, green, and black—offering enough variety to suit both understated and more adventurous tastes.
Functionally, the watches step up their everyday readiness with 10 bar (100 meters) of water resistance, which is a confident rating for a chronograph in this class. The case measures 40 mm across and comes in at 11.63 mm thick, keeping it in a wearable sweet spot for most wrists while still leaving space for the Eco-Drive movement inside.
Powering the CA4750 series is Citizen’s B620 Eco-Drive caliber, and it brings useful real-world benefits. The movement is rated for a 270-day power reserve, reinforcing the set-it-and-forget-it convenience that Eco-Drive is known for. The chronograph timing is displayed in 1/5-second increments on a 60-minute stopwatch, which should translate to a smoother, more precise-looking sweep of the chronograph seconds hand.
Despite the sturdier build, sapphire crystal, and chronograph layout, the CA4750 stays light enough for daily use. Thanks to the Super Titanium construction, the watch weighs about 91 g on its integrated bracelet. It also features a case back secured from the bottom, rounding out a design that’s clearly focused on durability and long-term wear.
For shoppers in Europe looking for a titanium chronograph with sapphire crystal, 100 m water resistance, and an Eco-Drive movement—without jumping into a far higher price tier—the Citizen CA4750 lineup lands as a compelling new option.
