Casio’s sushi-inspired G-Shock watches are getting closer to a European release, and collectors now have a better idea of what to expect. After debuting in Japan, the three made-in-Japan models have appeared on Casio’s online stores in Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands, bringing the playful food-themed series to a wider audience.
The lineup includes the Casio G-Shock GA-2100SSH-4A, DW-5600SSH-4, and DW-6900SSH-1. European pricing starts at €129 for the GA-2100SSH-4A, while the DW-5600SSH-4 is listed at €139 and the DW-6900SSH-1 at €149. All prices include VAT.
Despite the listings going live, the watches are not available to purchase just yet. Each product page is currently limited to Casio ID members and only offers a notification option instead of an active checkout button. Casio has not confirmed an official European launch date, and the sushi G-Shock collection has not appeared on the UK store at the time of writing.
The European pricing is especially interesting because it changes the order of the collection compared with Japan. In Japan, the GA-2100SSH is the most expensive of the three models, while the DW-5600SSH is the most affordable. In Europe, that order is effectively reversed. Once tax differences are taken into account, the GA-2100SSH is slightly cheaper in Europe than in Japan, but the two digital models are noticeably more expensive, with the DW-5600SSH and DW-6900SSH priced around 18% to 20% higher than their Japanese equivalents.
Design remains the biggest highlight of this limited G-Shock series. Each watch takes inspiration from sushi culture while keeping the rugged identity that has made G-Shock watches popular for decades.
The DW-5600SSH-4 features a translucent red case paired with a dial pattern designed to resemble tuna flesh. The look is bold, colorful, and instantly recognizable, making it one of the most eye-catching versions of the classic square G-Shock design.
The DW-6900SSH-1 takes a different approach with a nori-inspired black bezel and a white inner band, giving it a contrast-heavy look that reflects the appearance of sushi wrapped in seaweed. It keeps the familiar round digital G-Shock shape, but adds enough themed detail to make it feel distinctive.
The GA-2100SSH-4A, based on Casio’s popular octagonal “CasiOak” silhouette, comes with a fatty salmon-style dial and hands shaped like sushi knives. This model blends the theme more subtly into a modern analog-digital design, making it appealing for fans who want something playful but still wearable every day.
All three models are produced at Yamagata Casio in Japan, which adds extra appeal for collectors who value Japanese-made G-Shock watches. The casebacks also include an engraved teacup design, a reference to agari, the green tea often served at the end of a sushi meal. Each watch comes in a folding souvenir-style box, further reinforcing the Japan-inspired presentation.
Casio’s European listings also mention that the resin used across the three models is bio-based, giving the collection a more sustainable angle. The European model names also drop the “JR” suffix used on the Japanese versions, which is typical for regional Casio releases.
One key detail remains unclear: whether the sushi-themed G-Shock watches will be limited in Europe as they are in Japan. Casio has not yet confirmed production numbers or availability details for the European market. Given the popularity of special-edition G-Shock models and the strong visual identity of this collection, demand could be high once sales officially open.
For now, European buyers interested in the Casio G-Shock sushi collection will need to wait for Casio to activate purchases. With prices already listed and notification pages live, the official launch may not be far away.
