Casio’s popular Vintage A158 lineup looks set for a fresh comeback, with two additional A158 models now appearing on the brand’s international website. This comes shortly after Casio introduced the A158WEA-2 (silver with blue accents) and the A158WEA-7 (classic silver) in the UK, signaling a wider push for the affordable retro digital watch range.
According to the new listings, Casio is preparing to re-release the A158WEA-1 and A158WEA-9 in 2026. Both watches originally debuted in 2011, and they’ve remained available through Casio’s online store in Japan for some time—making their potential wider return welcome news for fans of the brand’s vintage digital style.
The Casio Vintage A158WEA-1 sticks to a clean, understated look with a silver case and metal strap, paired with a black frame surrounding the familiar light background digital display. The A158WEA-9 keeps the same overall silver-tone resin case and stainless steel bracelet, but adds a distinctive golden-bronze colored frame around the screen, giving it a warmer, slightly dressier twist while maintaining the classic A158 identity.
In terms of features, the A158WEA models deliver the everyday essentials that have helped make this series a long-time favorite. The rectangular digital display supports both 12-hour and 24-hour formats, and shows the date and day of the week. Practical tools include a daily alarm, hourly time signal, and a 1/100-second stopwatch for quick timing needs. An LED backlight helps with visibility in low light, and the watch is water-resistant for everyday wear.
Another big draw is the lightweight build—about 45 g (around 1.6 oz)—which makes it easy to wear all day. Battery life is also a strong point, with an estimated runtime of around seven years before a replacement is needed, reinforcing the A158’s reputation as a low-maintenance, budget-friendly digital watch.
The global product pages suggest a launch window sometime in February 2026. Casio hasn’t confirmed which regions will receive the re-released A158WEA-1 and A158WEA-9, and pricing details have not been announced yet. For now, the listings are a clear hint that these vintage-inspired metal-strap Casio A158 watches are about to become easier to find again in more markets.
