Casio Unveils Three Fresh Round Hybrid Watches

Casio is leaning hard into early-2000s nostalgia with three newly revealed Baby-G BA-110 series watches, recently spotted on the brand’s official website in Thailand. Described as “sparkling and dazzling,” these new releases blend the chunky, playful Y2K look with the practicality of a hybrid analog-digital display—making them an easy fit for anyone who wants a statement watch that can still handle everyday wear.

The trio includes three distinct colorways designed to stand out in different ways. The Casio Baby-G BA-110MC-2A arrives in a dark blue metallic resin case and strap, paired with a dial that mixes purple and blue tones for a bold, night-sky vibe. The BA-110MC-6A goes in a softer direction with a light purple metallic case and strap, matched with a coordinating purple and silver dial for a more monochrome, fashion-forward look. Rounding out the lineup is the BA-110MC-7A, featuring a clean white case and strap brought to life by pink, purple, and turquoise accents across the bezel and dial—arguably the most classic “pop color” Y2K option of the three.

All three watches are based on the BA-110 platform, a hybrid design that uses two metallic hands for the hour and minute while supporting digital readouts on two inset displays. Those digital screens make it easy to check essential info like the date and day of the week at a glance, while still keeping the analog styling front and center.

Functionality is where the BA-110 has always done well, and these new models stick to the formula. You get world time support across 29 time zones, plus the option to toggle daylight saving time on or off. Casio rates the timekeeping accuracy at within 30 seconds per month, which is typical for watches in this category and more than sufficient for daily use.

The feature set also includes a 1/100th-second stopwatch, a countdown timer, alarms, and hourly time signals. For visibility in darker environments, there’s an LED backlight to illuminate the display. As expected from the G-Shock and Baby-G family DNA, durability is a key part of the package: the watch has a shock-resistant structure and is water resistant up to 100 meters, making it suitable for swimming and day-to-day rough handling.

In Thailand, the Casio G-Shock Baby-G BA-110MC-2A, BA-110MC-6A, and BA-110MC-7A are listed at ฿5,200 (about $161). For now, Casio hasn’t confirmed when—or if—these specific colorways will launch in other regions, including the US. Still, the BA-110 series remains widely recognized and regularly refreshed, so anyone interested in the new metallic Y2K-inspired designs will likely be watching closely for broader availability.
