Casio Unveils Pro Trek PRW-69YT With Titanium Build and Advanced Triple-Sensor Navigation

Casio Pro Trek PRW-69YT-7JF Debuts in Japan With Titanium Bracelet and Triple Sensor Tech

Casio has introduced a new premium version of its Pro Trek Climber Line watch in Japan, and the biggest upgrade is easy to spot: a full titanium bracelet. The new Casio Pro Trek PRW-69YT-7JF brings a tougher, more refined look to the outdoor-focused PRW-69 series while keeping the same essential adventure-ready features, including Triple Sensor technology, Tough Solar charging, Multiband 6 radio timekeeping, and a duplex LCD display.

The Casio Pro Trek PRW-69YT-7JF is priced at ¥104,500 including tax in Japan, which is roughly around $663. Pre-orders are already open, with the official release expected in October. That price places it well above the resin-strap PRW-69Y-1JF, which launched with a recommended price of ¥48,400.

The higher cost mainly comes down to the titanium bracelet. While the resin-band model weighs just 73 grams, the titanium version comes in at 117 grams. That makes it heavier, but also gives it a more premium feel and a stronger wrist presence.

Casio has given the bracelet a stylish combination of hairline brushing and mirror polishing, creating a finish that looks more upscale than the standard outdoor watch design. The bracelet uses a one-push triple-folding clasp with a double-lock mechanism for extra security. It also includes a slide adjustment system with up to 6 mm of movement, allowing wearers to fine-tune the fit quickly. Casio says this can be useful when wearing the watch over an inner glove without needing to resize the bracelet.

Durability is also a major part of the design. Both the titanium bracelet and forged bezel are treated with a titanium carbide coating to help resist scratches. This makes the PRW-69YT-7JF better suited for outdoor use while still maintaining a polished appearance for daily wear.

Beyond the bracelet, the watch keeps the same core specifications as other Pro Trek PRW-69 Climber Line models. The case measures 52.5 × 46.4 × 13.8 mm and is made from stainless steel and biomass resin. It features sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on the inner surface, improving visibility in bright outdoor conditions.

The watch offers 100 meters of water resistance and is designed to operate in temperatures as low as -10°C. These features make it suitable for hiking, climbing, camping, and general outdoor activities where weather and terrain can change quickly.

As expected from a Pro Trek model, the PRW-69YT-7JF includes Casio’s Triple Sensor system. The altimeter can measure from -700 meters to 10,000 meters, helping users track elevation during mountain activities. The barometer measures pressure from 260 to 1,100 hPa and includes a 42-hour graph, which can help monitor weather trends. The thermometer covers a range from -10°C to 60°C.

The duplex LCD display adds another practical touch by showing compass graphics over the main display. This makes navigation information easier to read without sacrificing access to other key data.

Power comes from Casio’s Tough Solar system. On a full charge, the watch can run for about six months during regular use. With power-saving mode enabled, that extends to around 26 months. Multiband 6 radio-controlled timekeeping is also included, allowing the watch to receive time calibration signals in regions including Japan, North America, Europe, and China.

The Casio Pro Trek PRW-69YT-7JF is not a complete redesign of the PRW-69 series, but it does give the model a more premium identity. The titanium bracelet, scratch-resistant coating, sapphire glass, solar power, radio sync, and outdoor sensor package make it a compelling choice for anyone who wants a rugged hiking watch with a more refined metal-bracelet finish.

For buyers who prefer a lighter and more affordable option, the resin-band version remains the practical pick. But for those who want the same Pro Trek functionality with a stronger, more polished design, the PRW-69YT-7JF brings a significant style upgrade to Casio’s outdoor watch lineup.
