Casio looks set to roll out its Pro Trek PRWB1000 series to more markets, following a limited appearance earlier this summer. The PRWB1000-1 was spotted intermittently in the US from late June to early August, and now both the PRWB1000-1 and a second colorway, the PRWB1000-5, are reportedly gearing up for a broader launch in the coming months.
The PRWB1000-1 pairs a black face and silver accents with a dark gray stainless steel bezel and a black strap. The PRWB1000-5 opts for a more rugged, premium vibe, combining a black face with golden/bronze accents, a black metal dial, and a brown strap. Early retail listings suggested a Cordura strap, while other information points to a rubber band reinforced with Cellulose NanoFiber (CNF). Final strap materials may vary by model or region.
Built for outdoor adventures, the Pro Trek PRWB1000 line blends classic tool-watch looks with modern connectivity and durability. Bluetooth enables smartphone syncing, while Multiband 6 radio-controlled timekeeping helps maintain accuracy automatically. World time support covers 55 cities, and Casio’s expected Triple Sensor suite offers a barometer, compass, and thermometer with data shown on inset dials and a digital display. Everyday utility features include a stopwatch, multiple alarms, and sunrise/sunset times. Power comes from Tough Solar charging, and a sapphire crystal adds scratch resistance for trail and travel.
Previous listings placed the PRWB1000-1 and PRWB1000-5 at around $580. Exact release dates and final pricing for the wider rollout are still to be confirmed, and it remains unclear whether a European launch is on the cards.
If you’ve been waiting for a rugged, solar-powered outdoor watch with Bluetooth, radio control, and a protective sapphire crystal, the Pro Trek PRWB1000 series is one to watch. Keep an eye out over the next few months for official availability updates, detailed specs, and regional release news.
