Casio Brings Origami-Inspired G‑Shock Watches to the U.S.

Casio has brought its origami-inspired G-Shock watches to the United States, giving fans a fresh new take on two iconic silhouettes. The Casio G-Shock DW5600RGM-1 and DW6900RGM-5 first appeared toward the end of 2025 and have already been sold in other regions, including Japan. Now, they’re officially available for U.S. buyers.

Shoppers can pick up both the DW5600RGM-1 and the DW6900RGM-5 through Casio’s U.S. online store for $165 each. Casio has also confirmed that the watches are available in person at its SoHo store in New York City, making it easy for collectors and first-time buyers to see the designs up close before buying.

What makes this pair stand out is the origami-themed styling. Each watch features a dotted-and-dashed line pattern meant to resemble the classic mountain and valley folds used in origami art. It’s a subtle but eye-catching design choice that feels true to G-Shock’s reputation for bold, graphic looks—without sacrificing daily wearability.

The DW5600RGM-1 sticks closely to the classic square G-Shock identity. It comes in black with a matte resin case and strap, accented by sharp white fold lines that highlight the origami concept. The digital display uses a rectangular layout with a light background, showing the time and date at a glance. Like many popular G-Shock models, it’s built for everyday toughness and includes practical functions such as an alarm, timer, and stopwatch. It also offers 200-meter water resistance, making it a strong option for swimming, travel, and active lifestyles.

The DW6900RGM-5 takes a different approach with a hybrid look built around the well-known 6900 shape. This model features a white resin case with a contrasting black pattern across the exterior. Its digital display is slimmer and positioned beneath the signature triple graph area, which ties into features like the stopwatch. Along with that, it includes a multi-function alarm and a timer, and it matches the same 200-meter water resistance rating for reliable all-around use.

These origami series G-Shock watches aren’t exclusive to the U.S.—they’ve already launched in parts of Europe, including the UK and Germany. With the new U.S. release, Casio is making it easier for American buyers to grab a distinctive, design-forward G-Shock that still delivers the rugged durability the brand is known for.
