Brett Cooper’s Exit Leads to Cancellation of Daily Wire’s Snow White Project

The recent departure of Brett Cooper from The Daily Wire, a significant conservative media company, has sparked a swirl of speculation and uncertainty within the media landscape. Known for her engaging presence on The Comments Section YouTube channel, Cooper’s exit has left numerous projects in limbo, most notably the much-anticipated film, “Snow White and the Evil Queen.”

Originally slated to release in 2025 through Bentkey, The Daily Wire’s kid-friendly streaming platform, the film intended to position itself as an alternative to Disney’s upcoming version starring Rachel Zegler. The project featured Brett Cooper in the titular role of Snow White, with an initial teaser that showcased her as the character to great fanfare. The film was positioned by Daily Wire’s CEO, Jeremy Boreing, as a counterpoint to what he described as Disney’s excessive leftist lean.

However, with Cooper’s sudden departure, the contractual terms for her starring role became null and void, leading to the film’s cancellation. While the precise reasons behind her exit remain shrouded in mystery, signs of tension have surfaced. Cooper has unfollowed The Daily Wire and several associated personalities on social media, removing some personal connections, notably including a wedding photograph with her former friend, Reagan Conrad. Reagan’s assumption of Cooper’s role on The Comments Section seems to have intensified these sentiments, especially evident as Brett’s mother showed support for fans criticizing the network and Reagan.

Interestingly, one point of contention noted by producer Reagan was the intended political slant of “Snow White and the Evil Queen.” It is reported that The Daily Wire wanted to infuse political subplots to challenge left-wing ideologies, while Cooper preferred a classic, apolitical retelling that anyone, regardless of their political stance, could enjoy.

With Cooper’s exit, the fate of other productions, like the series “Mr. Birchum,” hangs in the balance. The series, which featured Cooper as the voice of Mrs. Burchum, already struggled with ratings, and her departure further complicates its future.

While The Daily Wire might still move forward with a recast of the Snow White role, doing so risks alienating fans, especially if Reagan is selected as her replacement. For now, fans and followers are left watching closely as these unfolding events impact the media giant’s content slate and direction.
