An unexpected glimpse of AMD’s upcoming RDNA 4 GPU recently emerged, suggesting its release might be imminent. A Brazilian retailer briefly listed the Gigabyte Radeon RX 9060 XT with 16 GB, sparking excitement among tech enthusiasts. Although the listing vanished quickly, it provided some intriguing insights.
This new Radeon card represents the first 60-class model in the RDNA 4 series, though AMD hasn’t officially revealed it yet. The page hinted at Gigabyte’s readiness, showcasing a custom Gaming OC edition.
The GPU is expected to feature a 16 GB VRAM, and like its NVIDIA counterpart, AMD is aiming to offer both 16 GB and 8 GB versions. Despite rumors about the potential cancellation of the 8 GB model, recent updates indicate that the 16 GB version is the priority, without dismissing the possibility of the lower VRAM option.
The Gigabyte edition highlights a robust triple-fan design with a single 8-pin power connector, and it recommends an 850W PSU. Reports suggest it may sport up to 200W TDP, and it will support multiple displays with 2x DP 2.1a and 2x HDMI 2.1a ports.
Previous leaks revealed a potential NAVI 44 die with 2,048 Stream Processors and a 128-bit memory interface, accommodating both memory configurations. While the exact launch date is still uncertain, expectations are high for an unveiling at Computex, from May 20th to 23rd.
As AMD ramps up anticipation, NVIDIA plans to introduce its RTX 5060 at $299 just before Computex, setting the stage for a competitive showdown. With the RX 9060 XT 16 GB poised to rival the RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB, a price point around $400 seems likely.
