Black Shark Unveils Global 12.1-Inch Tablet With Built-In 4G LTE

Black Shark Pad Air 7 launches globally with 12.1-inch display, 4G LTE, and Android 16

Black Shark has expanded its tablet lineup with the global listing of the Black Shark Pad Air 7, a large-screen Android tablet designed for entertainment, productivity, and everyday connectivity. The new model joins the company’s Pad 7 series and brings a spacious display, mobile data support, a large battery, and expandable storage in a budget-friendly package.

The Black Shark Pad Air 7 features a 12.1-inch display with a 2,560 × 1,600 resolution, giving users a sharp and roomy screen for streaming, browsing, reading, gaming, and multitasking. The panel also supports a 90Hz refresh rate, which should make scrolling and animations feel smoother than standard 60Hz tablets. With up to 500 nits of brightness, the tablet is built to remain usable in bright indoor environments and moderate outdoor lighting.

Powering the tablet is the MediaTek Helio G200 chipset. Built on a 6nm process, the processor includes two Cortex-A76 performance cores and six Cortex-A55 efficiency cores, balancing day-to-day performance with power efficiency. The Pad Air 7 comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, giving users enough memory for general multitasking and app usage.

One of the standout features is storage expansion. The tablet supports microSD cards with capacity up to 2TB, making it a practical option for users who want to store movies, documents, photos, offline videos, games, and other large files without relying heavily on cloud storage.

Battery life should also be a major selling point. The Black Shark Pad Air 7 packs a 10,000mAh battery, which is well suited for a large tablet aimed at media consumption and productivity. It also supports 33W wired charging, offering faster top-ups than many entry-level tablets.

For cameras, the Pad Air 7 includes a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. While tablets are not usually the first choice for photography, the rear camera should be useful for scanning documents, capturing quick images, or taking reference shots. The front camera is positioned for video calls, online classes, and virtual meetings.

Connectivity is another important part of the package. The Black Shark Pad Air 7 supports 4G LTE, allowing users to stay connected without depending only on Wi-Fi. It also includes dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2 for wireless accessories such as earbuds, keyboards, mice, and game controllers.

The tablet runs Android 16 out of the box, giving buyers access to a modern Android experience from day one. It also includes Widevine L1 certification, which means users should be able to stream supported video services in HD quality. For audio, Black Shark has equipped the tablet with a quad-speaker system, which should improve the experience when watching movies, playing games, or listening to music.

The Pad Air 7 also supports a magnetic keyboard that connects through pogo pins. This makes the tablet more appealing for users who want a lightweight productivity device for typing, emails, note-taking, studying, or light office work.

Black Shark has not officially announced global pricing on its website, but the Pad Air 7 has appeared through a French retailer at €239.90, which is roughly $270. If that pricing holds across more regions, the tablet could become an attractive option for buyers looking for a large Android tablet with LTE, expandable storage, a big battery, and keyboard support at an affordable price.
