Beeper Introduces ‘Plus’ Membership Featuring AI-Powered Transcription and Advanced Privacy Features

Beeper, the innovative chat app known for bridging iMessage to Android, is making waves with its latest update and the launch of “Beeper Plus.” This new subscription service adds a slew of exciting features, including AI-powered transcription and enhanced privacy controls.

Following its acquisition by Automattic, Beeper has relaunched with a focus on user security and premium offerings. While its core features remain free, the app now gives users the option to manage connections directly on their devices. This local management preserves end-to-end encryption for supported messaging services, enhancing privacy. However, opting for this secure setup means services like Slack and Discord won’t be compatible within the app, although most other networks remain functional.

The Beeper Plus subscription comes packed with useful additions. It introduces a “Send Later” feature, a handy message scheduler applicable to any connected service. There’s also a “Reminders” option to revisit chats, and an “Incognito Mode” that lets users preview messages without sending read receipts. Plus, the AI Voice Note Transcriptions convert voice messages to text, even for chat apps that don’t offer this feature natively.

Subscribers can also enjoy using multiple accounts per network—up to three per network with a total of ten—and personalize their experience with custom app icons. The standard Beeper Plus plan is priced at $9.99 monthly or $99.99 annually. For power users seeking unlimited accounts and priority support, the “Plus Plus” tier is available at $49.99 per month or $499.99 annually.

With these dynamic new offerings, Beeper is poised to enhance the chat experience while maintaining a keen focus on privacy and versatility.
