Ayaneo Next 2 Leak Reveals Full Configurations and Expected Prices Ahead of Indiegogo Debut

Ayaneo has officially pulled back the curtain on its Next 2, a premium Windows handheld gaming PC that’s heading back to crowdfunding with high-end specs, a large OLED screen, and pricing that puts it firmly in flagship territory. The company shared the full configuration and price breakdown during a livestream on February 8, giving prospective buyers a clearer idea of what to expect before the campaign goes live.

The Ayaneo Next 2 will launch in two main versions based on AMD’s latest mobile chips. The entry model uses the AMD Ryzen AI Max 385, while the higher-end option upgrades to the Ryzen AI Max+ 395. RAM and storage choices depend on which processor you pick, but the rest of the hardware remains consistent across the lineup. Out of the box, the device will run Windows, making it a portable option for PC game libraries, launchers, and productivity apps that work best on Microsoft’s operating system.

One of the biggest highlights is the display. Ayaneo is using a 9.06-inch OLED panel with a 2400 × 1504 resolution and a fast 165Hz refresh rate, positioning the Next 2 as a handheld built not just for portability, but also for smooth motion and sharp visuals. On the controls side, it includes an 8-way D-pad, a round smart touchpad on each side, and front-facing speakers for more direct audio while gaming on the go.

Ayaneo is also leaning into premium input hardware. The Next 2 features TMR joysticks with adjustable torque, which the company says is a first for a Windows handheld. Players will also get dual-mode trigger locks, four rear buttons for extra mapping options, and an “advanced dual-fan” cooling system designed to keep performance stable during demanding sessions.

Powering all of this is a large 116Wh battery, a capacity that signals Ayaneo is aiming for longer unplugged playtime than typical handheld PCs—though real-world endurance will still depend heavily on game settings, refresh rate usage, and power profiles.

Crowdfunding is set to begin on Indiegogo next week, and like many campaigns, early backers will be able to secure lower “early bird” pricing before the handheld moves to its standard retail pricing. Here are the announced configurations and prices:

AMD Ryzen AI Max 385 with 32GB RAM and 1TB storage: $1799 early bird, $1999 retail
AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 with 64GB RAM and 1TB storage: $2299 early bird, $2699 retail
AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 with 128GB RAM and 2TB storage: $3499 early bird, $4299 retail

As for styling, Ayaneo says the Next 2 will be available only in Polar Black. That suggests the white version seen in earlier promotional material has been shelved, at least for this launch.

With its OLED 165Hz display, large battery, premium controls, and AMD Ryzen AI Max processors, the Ayaneo Next 2 is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious Windows handheld gaming PCs announced so far—especially for buyers who want top-tier specs and are willing to pay premium pricing to get them.
