Capture One has officially expanded support for Hasselblad cameras, giving photographers a more complete workflow for editing Hasselblad RAW files with accurate color rendering and dedicated correction tools.
Starting with Capture One version 16.8.3, Hasselblad users can take advantage of camera-specific color profiles created for each of the three supported models. These profiles are designed to deliver more precise colors, helping photographers get closer to the distinctive look and image quality Hasselblad cameras are known for.
The update also includes lens profiles that can automatically correct common optical issues such as distortion and vignetting. This makes the editing process smoother, especially for photographers working on high-resolution images where small imperfections can be more noticeable.
All standard Capture One editing tools are available for Hasselblad RAW files, allowing users to adjust exposure, contrast, color, sharpness, and other key image settings directly inside the software. For studio, commercial, fashion, and landscape photographers who rely on Hasselblad cameras, this brings more flexibility and a stronger post-production experience.
One major feature is still missing for now: tethered shooting. Hasselblad cameras cannot yet be connected directly to a computer running Capture One for real-time image transfer during a shoot. However, tethering support is planned to arrive by the end of 2026. Once available, this will be especially useful for professional studio workflows, where photographers and clients often need to review images instantly on a larger screen.
Capture One support for Hasselblad cameras is available now with version 16.8.3. New users can try the software with a 7-day free trial. After the trial period, Capture One is available through a subscription priced at €32 per month, or as a perpetual license for a one-time payment of €391.
It is worth noting that the perpetual license does not include future updates. Photographers who need support for newer cameras later on may have to purchase a new license to access those compatibility updates.
With dedicated color profiles, lens corrections, and full RAW editing tools, Capture One is becoming a stronger option for Hasselblad photographers who want a professional editing platform. The planned addition of tethering support in 2026 could make the software even more appealing for high-end studio and commercial photography workflows.
