ASUS is growing its ROG Strix OLED gaming monitor family again, this time with three fresh 26.5-inch models designed for players who want ultra-smooth motion, deep blacks, and high-end color performance without jumping into the most expensive tier of the market. The new releases include one WOLED option and two QD-OLED options, and ASUS is leaning heavily into AI-powered display features aimed at improving visibility and accuracy in fast-paced games.
A key theme across all three monitors is ASUS AI Assistant Technology. ASUS says these AI-driven enhancements help improve clarity in darker scenes, making it easier to spot detail in shadowy areas. There’s also a Dynamic Crosshair feature with color-shifting behavior designed to help keep your aim more visible depending on what’s happening on screen.
First up is the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG Gen 2. ASUS positions this as an updated version of its earlier model, keeping the core specs intact while adding the new AI features. It uses a 26.5-inch WOLED panel with a 240Hz refresh rate and an ultra-fast 0.03ms response time. ASUS also maintains a strong focus on color quality here, listing Delta E under 2 for accuracy along with strong HDR capabilities, including up to 1300 nits peak HDR brightness.
Next is the ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDMS, the speed-focused option for competitive gamers who want even more headroom than 240Hz. This model pushes up to a 280Hz refresh rate and uses a 26.5-inch QD-OLED panel with the same 0.03ms response time. ASUS highlights that it features Samsung’s third-generation QD-OLED technology for clarity and color reproduction, and it also carries VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 certification. Like the rest of the lineup, it includes AI Assistant Technology to further enhance visibility and overall image presentation.
The third model is the ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMES. It shares much of the feature set found in the other two monitors, but caps the refresh rate at 240Hz. This display targets sharp gaming visuals with a 1440p resolution, 0.03ms response time, and a 99% DCI-P3 color gamut for vibrant, wide-color performance. ASUS also lists strong color accuracy and includes the same AI Assistant features present across the new lineup.
To address one of the biggest concerns buyers have with OLED monitors, ASUS includes OLED Care Pro on all three. This suite is meant to reduce the risk of image burn-in and includes a Neo Proximity Sensor that can automatically dim the display when the monitor isn’t actively being used.
Here’s how pricing breaks down:
ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMG Gen 2: $649
ROG Strix OLED XG27ACDMS: $699
ROG Strix OLED XG27AQDMES: $599
With high refresh rates, near-instant response times, and OLED-level contrast supported by AI-based visibility tools, ASUS is clearly aiming these new ROG Strix OLED monitors at gamers who care about both competitive performance and premium image quality—while keeping entry pricing for the lineup as low as $599.
