Asus Unveils Dolby Atmos Gaming Soundbar With Wireless Subwoofer

Asus has officially launched its ROG Gjallar gaming soundbar in China, bringing a premium desktop audio option to gamers who want a cleaner setup without sacrificing immersive sound. The new speaker system is priced at CNY 3,699, which is roughly $548.

The ROG Gjallar was first introduced in July 2026, but Asus did not reveal pricing or release details at the time. With the product now available in China, a wider international rollout may not be far behind, especially since the soundbar already appears on Asus’ global product pages.

Designed for gaming desks, the Asus ROG Gjallar combines a compact soundbar with a wireless subwoofer to create a 2.1.2-channel surround sound setup. One of its biggest highlights is Dolby Atmos support, which is intended to deliver a more realistic 3D audio experience. For gamers, that could mean better positional awareness in competitive titles, more cinematic sound in story-driven games, and a richer overall entertainment experience for movies and music.

Asus is also emphasizing the soundbar’s space-saving design. The ROG Gjallar is built to sit neatly under a monitor, making it suitable for desktop setups where large speakers may take up too much room. Its ROG-inspired design and RGB lighting are aimed at users who want their audio gear to match the look of a high-end gaming station.

The system also includes an all-in-one control hub, giving users quick access to essential settings. Through the controller, gamers can adjust EQ modes, manage RGB lighting, and control media playback without needing to rely entirely on software or keyboard shortcuts.

Another useful feature is the built-in AEC microphone, which is designed to help with clearer voice communication by reducing echo during calls or gaming sessions. This could make the ROG Gjallar more practical for players who frequently use voice chat, livestream, or join online meetings from the same desk setup.

Connectivity is another strong point. The Asus ROG Gjallar supports both wired and wireless connection options, making it flexible enough for PCs, laptops, consoles, and other devices. It also comes with an integrated USB hub, adding extra convenience for desktop users who need more accessible ports.

With its Dolby Atmos support, wireless subwoofer, compact footprint, RGB lighting, and dedicated control hub, the Asus ROG Gjallar is positioned as a premium gaming soundbar for users who want immersive audio without cluttering their desk. While global pricing and availability have not yet been confirmed, its China launch suggests Asus may be preparing to bring the speaker system to more markets soon.
