Asus TUF Gaming F16 2026 Launches With RTX 5070, Core Ultra 9, and 165Hz OLED Display
Asus has officially launched its 2026 TUF Gaming F16 in the United States, bringing a powerful mix of next-generation gaming hardware, a high-refresh OLED display, and upgrade-friendly internals. Designed for gamers, creators, and power users, the new 16-inch laptop aims to deliver strong performance without moving into the ultra-premium pricing tier of flagship gaming machines.
The model currently available is the Asus TUF Gaming F16 FX608LPG, priced at $2,399.99 through Asus’ US online store. A second version, the FX608LMG, has also appeared on the product page and is expected to arrive with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU, though pricing for that configuration has not yet been announced.
At the heart of the available FX608LPG model is Intel’s Core Ultra 9 290HX processor, paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU. The graphics chip runs at up to 115W, including 100W of standard power and an additional 15W through Dynamic Boost. It also features 8GB of GDDR7 video memory, giving the laptop enough horsepower for modern AAA gaming, high-resolution content creation, and GPU-accelerated workloads.
The upcoming RTX 5060-based FX608LMG is expected to offer the same 115W power limit and 8GB of GDDR7 memory, making it a potentially appealing option for buyers who want strong gaming performance at a lower price point.
Both configurations also include Intel’s AI Boost NPU, capable of up to 13 TOPS. This dedicated AI hardware is designed to improve efficiency in supported AI workloads, background tasks, and future Windows-based AI features.
One of the biggest highlights of the Asus TUF Gaming F16 2026 is its 16-inch OLED display. The panel offers a 2560 x 1600 resolution, giving users a sharp 2.5K viewing experience with a taller 16:10 aspect ratio. It also supports a 165Hz refresh rate, making it suitable for fast-paced gaming where smooth motion and quick response times matter.

Despite its powerful hardware, the laptop weighs 2.2kg, or about 4.85 pounds. It also meets MIL-STD-810H durability standards, continuing the TUF series’ focus on ruggedness and reliability.
