ASUS Expands Its 25-Inch OLED Gaming Monitor Lineup With a 720 Hz Esports Beast
ASUS is pushing competitive gaming displays into a new era with the launch of three high-end 25-inch OLED gaming monitors built for players who want extreme speed, instant response, and sharper motion clarity. The new lineup includes the ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace, ROG Strix OLED XG259QDPG Ace, and ROG Strix OLED XG259QDNS Ace, giving esports-focused gamers more OLED options in one of the most popular monitor sizes.
The move is notable because 24-inch and 25-inch monitors remain the go-to choice for many competitive players. While larger displays dominate the premium gaming market, smaller screens are still preferred in fast-paced shooters and esports titles because they keep the entire field of view easy to track without excessive eye movement. ASUS appears to be targeting that audience directly with OLED panels designed for high refresh rates and ultra-fast response.
The standout model is the ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace, a 24.5-inch 1080p OLED monitor capable of reaching an incredible 720 Hz refresh rate. That makes it one of the fastest gaming monitors announced so far and a serious option for professional esports players who prioritize every millisecond of advantage.
At 720 Hz, motion appears exceptionally smooth, and input responsiveness can feel noticeably sharper when paired with a powerful gaming PC capable of pushing extremely high frame rates. The ROG Strix OLED XG259QDPG Ace features a 24.5-inch RGB QD-OLED panel with a 1080p resolution and a refresh rate of up to 560 Hz. That is still far beyond what most gaming monitors offer and should appeal to serious players looking for elite responsiveness without stepping all the way up to the flagship ROG Swift model.
The ROG Strix OLED XG259QDNS Ace sits slightly lower in the lineup with a refresh rate of up to 360 Hz. Even so, 360 Hz remains a very high-end specification for competitive gaming, especially when combined with OLED’s fast pixel response and strong contrast performance.
Both ROG Strix models use RGB QD-OLED panels and include BlackShield film with an anti-glare, low-reflection coating. This combination is meant to improve visibility in different lighting conditions while helping reduce distracting reflections during gameplay.
ASUS is also adding features designed specifically for esports players. Each monitor includes a quick OSD menu, making it easier to adjust settings without digging through complicated menus. With these new additions, ASUS is clearly positioning itself as a major player in the compact high-refresh-rate OLED monitor market.
Pricing has been confirmed for the flagship ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace, which is set at $1,099. ASUS has also revealed that the ROG Strix OLED XG259QWPG Ace will launch at $699. Both models are expected to become available in early Q4 this year.
