ASUS is kicking off 2026 with a major refresh of its ROG Zephyrus lineup, bringing next-generation Intel Panther Lake and AMD Ryzen AI 400 processors to some of its most popular thin-and-light gaming laptops. Alongside the silicon upgrades, ASUS is also pushing new display tech, stronger cooling, and subtle but meaningful design refinements that keep the Zephyrus family focused on one goal: high-end gaming and creator performance in a truly portable form factor.
ROG Zephyrus Duo 2026: dual 16-inch OLED screens, now bigger and brighter
The headline grabber is the new ROG Zephyrus Duo 2026, described as the world’s first dual 16-inch gaming laptop. It’s built for users who want maximum multitasking without hauling around a desktop replacement, combining flagship mobile parts with an attention-grabbing dual-display setup.
Performance starts with Intel’s latest Panther Lake “Core Ultra Series 3” CPUs, topping out at the Core Ultra X9 388H with 16 cores, paired with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. ASUS backs the graphics power with a 135W TGP and supports up to 64GB of LPDDR5x memory plus up to 2TB of PCIe 4.0 storage.
A big part of the Duo’s identity is flexibility: it offers five operating modes (Dual Screen, Laptop, Sharing, Tent, and Book). The chassis comes in Stellar Grey, built from CNC-milled aluminum, and features ASUS’s slash-style lighting across the lid.
For cooling, ASUS uses a new vapor chamber approach that combines liquid metal and a graphite sheet, tied into its ROG Intelligent Cooling system and a 0dB ambient cooling option for quieter operation when loads are light.
Both displays are 3K OLED panels using the ROG Nebula HDR branding, running at 2880×1800 with up to a 120Hz refresh rate and NVIDIA G-Sync support. They’re touch-enabled and protected by Corning Gorilla Glass DXC. Peak HDR brightness reaches up to 1100 nits, and ASUS says the secondary screen is now 213% larger than the prior Duo generation, making it significantly more useful for timelines, chats, tool palettes, and live dashboards.
Connectivity is creator-friendly and gaming-ready with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, HDMI, an SD card reader, and a 3.5mm audio jack. You also get Wi‑Fi 7, a six-speaker system (2 tweeters + 4 woofers), and a 90Wh battery. ASUS quotes a 50% charge in 30 minutes using the included 250W adapter.
One more notable touch: the Duo includes a thin wireless keyboard and touchpad (5.1mm) that can dock or run over Bluetooth, and it adds a USB-C port for charging. The system is listed at 6.28 lbs and about 0.77 inches thick.
ROG Zephyrus G16 2026 (GU606): thin 16-inch OLED powerhouse with RTX 5090 options
For buyers who want a more traditional clamshell without the second screen, the ROG Zephyrus G16 2026 gets a meaningful internal refresh while keeping the sleek Zephyrus style.
It moves to Intel Core Ultra Series 3 processors and can be configured with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU. Memory support goes up to 64GB of LPDDR5x running at 8533 MT/s, and storage is handled through dual M.2 slots with up to 2TB capacity. ASUS rates the GPU at up to 160W TGP with Dynamic Boost in Manual Mode, aiming for top-tier performance while still staying in an ultra-slim category.
The aluminum chassis and slash lighting remain, but the portability numbers stand out: about 1.85kg and just 1.49cm thick. Cooling gets a boost as well, featuring a vapor chamber, liquid metal thermal interface material, and a triple-fan setup, plus the 0dB ambient cooling mode.
The display is another major selling point. ASUS upgrades it to a 16-inch ROG Nebula HDR OLED panel with up to 2.5K resolution, a 16:10 aspect ratio, up to a 240Hz refresh rate, and up to 1100 nits HDR brightness. Screen-to-body ratio is listed at 88.4%.
Battery capacity is 90Wh, and fast charging mirrors the Duo: up to 50% in 30 minutes with the 250W adapter. Audio follows the Duo’s six-speaker layout, and the laptop supports Wi‑Fi 7 along with strong I/O including dual Thunderbolt 4 ports.
ASUS also introduces an EasyLight hinge mechanism designed to make opening the lid smoother and easier with minimal effort, an upgrade you’ll appreciate in daily use.
ROG Zephyrus G14 2026: two versions, Intel Panther Lake or AMD Ryzen AI 400
ASUS is offering two different Zephyrus G14 models for 2026, giving buyers a choice between Intel and AMD platforms while keeping the same compact 14-inch premium gaming formula.
1) Zephyrus G14 GU405 (Intel)
This version uses Intel Panther Lake CPUs up to the Core Ultra X9 388H. Graphics go up to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU with up to 130W TGP. It supports up to 64GB of LPDDR5x-8533 memory and up to 2TB PCIe 4.0 storage.
2) Zephyrus G14 GA403 (AMD)
This model runs AMD Ryzen AI 400 processors up to the Ryzen AI 9 HX 470. GPU support goes up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop GPU with up to 100W TGP. It offers up to 32GB of LPDDR5x-7500 memory and up to 2TB PCIe 4.0 storage.
Outside of those platform differences, the two G14s are largely aligned. Both feature the slim aluminum chassis with slash lighting, a triple-fan cooling solution with liquid metal under the heatsink, and a highly portable build at 1.59cm thin and about 1.5kg.
Each model includes a 73Wh battery and a 200W adapter with fast charging that reaches 50% in 30 minutes. You also get a six-speaker setup, Wi‑Fi 7, and a port selection that includes a mix of USB4 and Thunderbolt 4.
The display is consistent across both systems: a 14-inch 3K OLED ROG Nebula HDR panel with up to a 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1100 nits HDR brightness, and an 87.3% screen-to-body ratio. For gamers and creators who want a smaller laptop without sacrificing OLED quality, the G14 refresh looks especially compelling.
ROG Flow Z13 Kojima Productions Edition: a special collab with high-end specs
Rounding out the announcements is a special collaboration model: the ROG Flow Z13 Kojima Productions Edition (Z13-KJP). This isn’t part of the Zephyrus family, but it stands out as a premium collector-style device themed around the “Ludens” mascot associated with Kojima Productions.
The design uses real carbon fiber with a beige and black color scheme. It weighs 1.75kg and measures 14.6mm thick. ASUS also includes matching accessories such as a themed RGB gaming keyboard cover and additional Kojima Productions items, including a custom suitcase.
