ASUS ROG Strix XG259QNS: A New High-Speed 380 Hz Gaming Monitor with Integrated USB Hub

The new ASUS ROG Strix XG259QNS gaming monitor is a recent addition to the company’s lineup, coming on the heels of the European introduction of the ROG Swift OLED PG49WCD. This model is the follow-up to the XG259QN, which debuted nearly a year ago. While both models boast many similar features, the latest iteration brings some new elements to the gaming experience.

The XG259QNS and its predecessor, the XG259QN, share a 24.5-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a remarkably high refresh rate of 380 Hz. In terms of display quality, this new gaming monitor provides a peak brightness of 400 nits, holds a VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, covers 110% of the sRGB color space, and has a 1,000:1 contrast ratio. Its 1 ms GtG response times and support for AMD FreeSync Premium ensure smooth gaming visuals without tearing.

In the connectivity department, the XG259QNS offers a variety of ports, including:
– 1x 3.5 mm audio jack
– 1x DisplayPort 1.4 (HBR3)
– 2x HDMI 2.0
– 2x USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A

The differentiation between the XG259QNS and its earlier version is particularly evident in the upgraded stand design. The previous model came with a stand providing tilt, swivel, pivot, and height adjustments within certain limits. However, the XG259QNS enhances the flexibility with a range that includes up to +45° to -45° swiveling, +90° to -90° pivoting, and an increased height adjustment range of 0 to 120mm, while maintaining the tilt capability of its predecessor.

The price point for the ASUS ROG Strix XG259QNS gaming monitor has not been announced yet; however, predictions indicate it may be in the same ballpark as the XG259QN, which has a retail price of around $449 in the United States. Details regarding the release date and available markets for the new monitor have not been specified.

With its high refresh rate and ergonomic design, the ASUS ROG Strix XG259QNS is poised to cater to gamers seeking a top-tier gaming experience with the added convenience of an integrated USB hub for connecting peripheral devices.
