Ubisoft has pushed out a fresh update for Assassin’s Creed Shadows across consoles and PC, and it comes with a notable quality-of-life upgrade for players on Nintendo Switch 2. Alongside a batch of fixes, the new patch adds mouse and keyboard support on Switch 2, making it easier for players who prefer a more PC-like control setup to explore Feudal Japan.
The update is live now as version 1.1.10. On Nintendo Switch 2, the download weighs in at 5.4GB, which is considerably smaller than the update sizes on some other platforms, including Xbox Series S|X and PC.
The standout feature for Switch 2 owners is full mouse and keyboard compatibility. Players can plug their preferred peripherals into the USB ports on the Switch 2 dock and play using that setup. If you’re used to aiming, camera control, and menu navigation with a mouse and keyboard, this option can make combat and exploration feel more precise. Ubisoft also notes that mouse and keyboard play is supported on the PS5 and Xbox versions as well.
PS5 Pro players are getting an upgrade too, with the update adding support for PSSR 2, which should help improve image quality and performance on the enhanced console.
The patch also changes how one weapon can be obtained in-game. The Bo weapon, which previously had exclusivity tied to the Claws of Awaji DLC, is now available in a new way for players who don’t own that add-on. Ubisoft says that once you’ve earned at least one Unique Bo while playing, non-legendary Bo versions can begin appearing naturally through regular gameplay. That means they may drop from defeated enemies, show up in chests, or be sold by merchants as you continue progressing through the world.
Beyond these headline additions, version 1.1.10 includes various bug fixes intended to smooth out the overall experience across platforms. Assassin’s Creed Shadows remains available both digitally and physically for Nintendo Switch 2.
