Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag “Resynced” Price Leak Surfaces Just Before Official Unveiling

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is shaping up to be one of the biggest remaster launches of the year, and a fresh leak may have just revealed how much fans will need to spend to jump back into its pirate-filled Caribbean adventure. The long-rumoured current-gen version is expected to be officially shown on April 23, with a reported release date of July 9.

According to a new pricing leak, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced will cost $59.99 for the standard edition. That puts it right in line with the price of many modern AAA releases, even though the original Black Flag first launched around thirteen years ago. Whether that price feels justified will likely depend on what Ubisoft has changed beyond improved visuals. Players will be watching closely for meaningful upgrades like smoother performance on current consoles and PCs, modernized controls, faster navigation, and other quality-of-life improvements that make returning to the game feel fresh rather than simply polished.

So far, the leaked trailer footage hasn’t offered much clarity on what’s new, but there’s still room for surprises. There are claims that media insiders have already seen a much longer presentation, which suggests Ubisoft may be saving some of the major improvements for the full reveal.

The leak also includes details on a much pricier Collector’s Edition. Reportedly priced at $199.99, it’s said to include a statue, books, an in-game map, and the Deluxe Edition of the game with additional cosmetic content. However, one detail remains unclear and it’s a big one for collectors: whether the Collector’s Edition includes a physical disc. With more publishers moving away from physical media, that question has become increasingly important for fans who expect premium editions to come with something tangible beyond collectibles.

If the July 9 date holds, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced won’t be far off—and the official showcase should soon confirm whether its upgrades match the steep “new game” price tag.
