ASRock Expands AM4 Lineup With New B550M Pro-A WiFi 6E Motherboard for Budget Ryzen Builds
As the cost of newer DDR5-based PC platforms continues to rise, motherboard makers are giving budget-focused builders more options on proven DDR4 hardware. ASRock has quietly added a new AM4 motherboard to its lineup, the B550M Pro-A WiFi 6E, aimed at users who want to build or upgrade an affordable Ryzen system without moving to a more expensive platform.
The new ASRock B550M Pro-A WiFi 6E is a micro-ATX motherboard designed for AMD’s AM4 socket, making it compatible with a wide range of Ryzen processors. It supports Ryzen 3000 and 3000G series chips, Ryzen 4000G APUs, and Ryzen 5000 and 5000G series processors. That gives PC builders plenty of flexibility, whether they are reusing an older CPU or putting together a cost-effective gaming, office, or home PC.
One of the biggest advantages of this motherboard is its support for DDR4 memory. While DDR5 is now common on newer platforms, DDR4 remains widely available, affordable, and fast enough for many users.
