ARTIUS: Pure Imagination Brings Fast-Paced 2D Platforming to PC in 2027
Publisher IndieArk and developer PVic Games have revealed that ARTIUS: Pure Imagination is planned for release in the first quarter of 2027 for Windows PC via Steam. Players eager to experience its colorful, momentum-driven action can try an updated demo now.
ARTIUS: Pure Imagination is a high-speed 2D platformer built around movement, creativity, and expressive gameplay. Set in a vivid hand-drawn world, the game follows four artists fighting to save imagination from disappearing altogether. Players will dash, swing, smash, and soar through energetic stages where rhythm, speed, and style are essential to survival.
The story takes place in Rupestrine, a city once celebrated as a beacon of artistic culture. Its name comes from ancient archaeological discoveries found throughout the region, including cave paintings, petroglyphs, and rock art. Over time, Rupestrine grew into a thriving center for the arts, attracting painters, musicians, dancers, sculptors, photographers, and creators of every kind.
At the heart of the story are four young artists from EdAN Art University: Pierre the Painter, Walter the Photographer, René the Musician, and Guga the Dancer. Each of them lives through their craft, bringing their own personality, talents, and creative energy to the world around them.
That peaceful life is shattered when PIVOLO, a jealous student consumed by resentment, takes control of the mystical ARTIUS book. Using its strange power, he forces Rupestrine into an anti-art regime, twisting the city into a cold and restrictive place shaped by his oppressive vision. As his influence spreads, people begin to forget why art matters. Creativity fades, inspiration disappears, and society starts to lose its soul.
To fight back, Pierre, Walter, René, and Guga must use their artistic abilities to challenge PIVOLO’s rule and bring life back to Rupestrine. Each character represents a different creative discipline, giving players unique ways to move through levels, solve challenges, and discover hidden areas.
ARTIUS: Pure Imagination focuses on fast, fluid platforming where momentum is key. Players can bolt through vibrant stages, chain movement abilities together, and switch between characters to access new routes. Each hero has distinct skills, encouraging players to experiment with different playstyles while uncovering secrets scattered throughout the world.
The game blends action, puzzle-solving, and exploration with a strong artistic identity. Its levels are designed to feel alive with color, music, and imagination, creating a platforming experience that celebrates creativity as both a theme and a gameplay mechanic.
Players can expect to run, jump, dash, paint, compose, dance, and express themselves across dynamic environments filled with surreal enemies and fantastical characters. Along the way, they will uncover the deeper mysteries of Rupestrine and confront the forces trying to erase art from existence.
With its hand-drawn visual style, multiple playable characters, and momentum-based movement, ARTIUS: Pure Imagination is shaping up to be an exciting indie platformer for fans of fast 2D action games. Its message is clear: when the world becomes dull and restrictive, creativity becomes an act of rebellion.
