Aoostar has introduced the EG02, a Thunderbolt 5 eGPU dock built for creators, gamers, and mini PC enthusiasts who want serious performance without a tangle of cables. Headlining the spec sheet is up to 140 W of USB-C charging for a connected laptop, a step up from what many Thunderbolt 4 and USB4 eGPU enclosures typically offer.
The EG02 features two Thunderbolt 5 ports. The primary port connects to your host machine, while the second is a downstream port intended for accessories and displays. That downstream port supports DisplayPort Alt Mode for video output and provides up to 27 W of power delivery for peripherals, so it’s great for driving a monitor or powering smaller devices, but it’s not a second host connection.
Inside, Aoostar includes a full PCIe 4.0 x4 slot to house a desktop graphics card, enabling high-bandwidth performance for GPU-accelerated workflows and high-refresh gaming. There’s also a DC adapter output designed to power a mini PC directly, reducing the need for multiple power bricks and making compact setups easier to manage.
To keep your workspace clean, the EG02 adds a removable mount that lets you place a mini PC above an ATX or SFX power supply. This stacked layout helps minimize clutter and keeps your eGPU, PSU, and mini PC organized in one streamlined footprint.
The EG02 is available now directly from Aoostar for $219, which the company lists as a discounted price from a $299 MSRP. For full specifications, configuration details, and purchasing options, check the company’s website.
