AOC Unveils Agon AG277UX Pricing for Its 27-Inch 4K Dual-Mode Gaming Monitor

Official pricing is now out for AOC’s Agon AG277UX, a new 27-inch dual-mode gaming monitor designed for players who want sharp 4K visuals for cinematic single-player sessions and ultra-high refresh rates for competitive esports. The monitor has started selling in China for 1,999 Yuan (around $293), positioning it as a notably affordable entry in the growing “dual-resolution, dual-refresh” display category.

AOC first revealed the Agon AG277UX late last year, highlighting its headline feature: the ability to switch between two performance modes depending on what you’re playing. In one mode, it runs at 3840 x 2160 (4K) with a 160Hz refresh rate for crisp detail and smooth motion. Flip to the second mode, and it drops to 1920 x 1080 (Full HD) while jumping to an impressive 320Hz—an ideal setup for fast-paced shooters where frame rate and responsiveness matter most.

AOC says the AG277UX uses a fast IPS panel, which typically appeals to gamers who want strong motion performance without sacrificing viewing angles and color. On the color side, AOC claims 100% sRGB coverage and 95% DCI-P3 coverage, along with Delta E below 2. If those figures hold up in real-world use, the monitor could also be a solid fit for creators and anyone who cares about accurate color reproduction, not just gaming.

There are a few trade-offs to keep expectations realistic. This model does not include mini-LED backlighting, and its peak brightness is listed at around 600 nits. That’s plenty for most rooms and general HDR enjoyment, but it’s not aiming for the highest-end HDR experience.

Design-wise, the AG277UX leans into a bold, gamer-focused look, and it includes practical ergonomics such as tilt, height adjustment, and rotation—useful if you want a comfortable setup for long sessions or a vertical orientation for productivity.

For connectivity, the AOC Agon AG277UX includes:
Two HDMI 2.1 ports
One DisplayPort 2.1 port
Three USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports
A standard audio jack

With the monitor now on sale in China and priced aggressively, a wider international launch seems plausible, especially given AOC’s history of expanding availability beyond its initial market. That said, there’s no confirmed global release timeline yet, so anyone interested outside China may have to wait for regional announcements.
