Another Eden Begins Ditches Gacha for a Pure Solo RPG Launch on September 17

Another Eden Begins Turns the Beloved Mobile RPG Into a Gacha-Free Offline JRPG

Another Eden Begins is bringing the time-traveling RPG adventure to consoles and PC as a fully standalone, single-player experience. Wright Flyer Studios and Studio Prisma have revealed that the remake of Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time and Space will launch worldwide on September 17, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

Unlike the original free-to-play mobile game, Another Eden Begins removes gacha mechanics and microtransactions entirely. Instead, players will be able to enjoy a classic buy-to-play JRPG built around story progression, character recruitment, turn-based combat, and multiple endings.

The remake adapts Part 1 of the original Another Eden story, following Aldo on a journey across time to save his sister, Feinne, from the Beast King. The adventure spans three major eras: Antiquity in 20,000 BC, the Present in 300 AD, and the Future in 1,100 AD. This time-spanning setup remains one of the game’s biggest draws, offering a narrative that blends fantasy, science fiction, and emotional character-driven storytelling.

RPG fans may also be interested to know that Masato Kato, known for his work on classics such as Chrono Trigger and Xenogears, is leading development through Studio Prisma. His involvement gives Another Eden Begins strong appeal for players who enjoy traditional Japanese role-playing games with rich narratives and memorable world-building.

One of the biggest changes in Another Eden Begins is how players recruit characters. The remake features 18 companions who can be unlocked naturally through the main story, special encounter quests, and kinship bonds. That means there are no random character pulls, no premium currency systems, and no reliance on luck to build a strong party.

Combat keeps the strategic turn-based command system that helped define the original game. Players will build teams around party synergy, skill combinations, and careful timing. The Another Force gauge also returns, allowing players to pause enemy turns and unleash powerful chains of attacks for massive damage.

Another major addition is New Game+. After completing the adventure, players can carry their character strength into future playthroughs. A mysterious new character will guide players through this expanded mode, where key decisions can lead to more than 10 different story endings. This gives the remake extra replay value and encourages players to explore alternate outcomes.

Another Eden Begins is also receiving several upgrades designed for its console and PC release. The game will include full controller support, enhanced visuals, and Steam Cloud save compatibility. These improvements aim to make the experience feel more polished and comfortable for players moving from mobile to larger screens.

Early digital buyers will also receive bonus incentives. Wright Flyer Studios has confirmed that early bird rewards will include serial codes for exclusive character outfits and crossover bonuses that can be used in the current Another Eden mobile game.

Another Eden Begins launches digitally on September 17, 2026, for Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. A physical edition for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 is planned for release in 2027, with Aksys Games handling publishing duties.

For fans of story-focused JRPGs, Another Eden Begins could be one of the most appealing releases of 2026. By removing gacha systems and rebuilding the experience as a complete offline adventure, the remake offers a cleaner, more traditional way to enjoy Aldo’s journey through time.
