Anker has expanded its smart home lineup with the new eufy Wired Cam C31, a wired security camera now rolling out across the US and multiple EU markets. Built for flexible placement, the camera is designed to work as both an indoor security camera and an outdoor security camera, backed by an IP66 rating for dust and water resistance.
One of the biggest draws of the eufy Wired Cam C31 is its wide-area coverage. It delivers 360° surveillance using pan controls and can tilt up to 70°, helping reduce blind spots around entryways, driveways, patios, living rooms, and other high-traffic spots. This pan-and-tilt design also supports AI-powered motion tracking, allowing the camera to detect and follow movement from people, vehicles, and pets. Notably, these detection features are described as subscription-free, which will appeal to users who want smart detection without ongoing monthly fees.
For video quality, the Wired Cam C31 records in 1080p and uses an f/1.2 aperture with a 130° field of view. For nighttime monitoring, it includes PureColor Night Vision, which is intended to capture color video at night without requiring additional lighting—useful for keeping a clearer view of faces, clothing, and vehicle details after dark.
Connectivity is another focus. The camera is equipped with dual antennas, which eufy says improves Wi‑Fi performance compared to single-antenna models—claiming up to 20% wider coverage area and up to 30% longer transmission distance. In everyday use, that could mean a more stable connection when the camera is installed farther from your router or when dealing with challenging signal conditions.
For active deterrence, the eufy Wired Cam C31 includes built-in sound and light alarms to help scare off unwanted visitors. When it comes to storage, users can keep recordings locally using a microSD card up to 256GB (sold separately) or choose cloud storage as an alternative. The camera comes in a white finish and can be mounted on a wall or placed on a tabletop, making it easier to fit different home layouts.
Pricing and availability: the eufy Wired Cam C31 is listed at $59.99 in the US and €59.99 in EU countries including the Netherlands, Italy, and Germany. A UK release date hasn’t been confirmed yet.
