At its original price, the Radeon RX 9070 GRE was not the easiest recommendation. It arrived with less VRAM than the standard Radeon RX 9070 and fewer Compute Units, which made some buyers question its value. However, the story changes completely when the price falls below $500, especially at a time when many competing graphics cards are getting more expensive.

There is one catch: the $479 Micro Center deal appears to be available for in-store pickup only. That means buyers will need access to a local store to take advantage of the lowest price. For those who prefer an online purchase, the GIGABYTE Gaming Radeon RX 9070 GRE OC is another strong option. It is listed at $534, already below the original $549 price, and an additional $35 discount brings the final price down to $499. While not quite as low as the Micro Center offer, $499 is still an excellent price for the RX 9070 GRE in the current GPU market.
The Radeon RX 9070 GRE may not have been the most exciting graphics card at its original price, but discounts can completely change a product’s value. With GPU prices rising across the market, a sub-$500 RX 9070 GRE is now a serious option for gamers looking to upgrade without overspending.
